Own the end‑to‑end clinical success of TSC products – with a focus on extracorporeal life‑support (ECLS) – by delivering gold‑standard training, driving adoption, shaping new features with R&D and acting as the clinical voice of our customers.
Job description
As our Clinical Application Specialist, you will own the end‑to‑end clinical success of customers using our extracorporeal simulation solutions. Leveraging deep critical‑care experience and a passion for technology, you will design and deliver powerful training, support product roll‑outs, and act as the clinical voice for future innovation.
Main Duties:

Training & Education (≈40 %)

Design, deliver, and continually refine simulator‑based ECMO and critical‑care courses (onsite, virtual and hybrid).

Author instructor guides, competency check‑lists, and debriefing frameworks aligned with ELSO, ERC and ERCIA standards.

Sales & Commercial Support (≈25 %)
-
Partner with the Channel & Clinical Sales Manager to run high‑impact demos, workshops and product evaluations.

Translate clinical value into ROI narratives and tender documentation; attend trade shows and congresses as the lead clinical evangelist.

Product Documentation (≈10 %)
-
Produce and update user manuals, quick‑start guides, IFUs and regulatory artefacts (UKCA/CE).

Visit hospitals, medical schools, and training centres to provide on-site training and gather valuable feedback for product improvements.

Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, product training sessions, and follow-up support activities.

Maintain a knowledge‑base of FAQs, troubleshooting trees and best‑practice videos.

R&D & Product Innovation (≈15 %)
-
Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with hardware, software and AI teams to define requirements, review prototypes and run usability studies.

Champion clinician‑in‑the‑loop design and supply real‑world data to improve realism and learning efficacy.

Clinical Engagement & KOL Management (≈10 %)
-
Build long‑term relationships with perfusionists, intensivists, anaesthetists and simulation leads across Europe.

Curate a network of reference sites and run quarterly advisory boards to steer the roadmap.
-
Training leadership – design and deliver engaging courses (on‑site, virtual and hybrid) for clinicians, educators and distributors; create accredited curricula and skill‑assessment frameworks.

Sales enablement – run high‑impact product demos, conference workshops and KOL roadshows; capture clinical proof points and success stories that help the commercial team close deals.

Clinical documentation – write IFUs, quick‑start guides, video scripts and competency checklists; maintain a living knowledge base for FAQs and troubleshooting.

Voice‑of‑customer & R&D collaboration – gather real‑world feedback, co‑define feature requirements, validate prototypes and conduct usability studies with our engineering and UX teams.

Product life‑cycle engagement – act as the clinician advocate from concept through launch, post‑market surveillance and next‑gen roadmap planning.

Thought‑leadership & networking – present at congresses (ESICM, EuroELSO, SIM‑Europe), contribute to white papers and build a global community of ECLS educators.

Quality & compliance – log all field insights in our CRM/QMS, support risk assessments (ISO 14971) and help maintain clinical safety files.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Clinical expertise: RN, ODP, Perfusionist, Physio or Physician with 3+ years hands‑on ECMO or extracorporeal therapy experience and familiarity with simulation‑based education.

Educator at heart: confident facilitator who can translate complex physiology into clear, engaging training for novice and expert learners alike.

Tech‑savvy: comfortable setting up manikins, VR/AR gear and networked learning labs; able to troubleshoot firmware, BLE and software updates.

Storyteller & influencer: outstanding English (spoken & written), persuasive presenter and natural relationship‑builder across clinical, academic and commercial audiences.

Innovator: curious mindset, eager to co‑create new training modalities, AI feedback loops and sensor integrations with our R&D team.

Organised self‑starter: thrive in a field‑based role, manage multiple course calendars and keep immaculate records in CRM/LMS tools.

Mobility: currently resident in the UK, Republic of Ireland or another European country with full right to work and free movement for global travel.
