Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in electrical and electronic engineering, CAD design, robotics, and integrated circuit (IC) development to join our team.

Job description

As a Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed and precise 2D and 3D designs, collaborating closely with the engineering team to ensure that projects meet technical specifications. Your role will be crucial in developing designs that integrate electrical and electronic engineering, robotics, and coding. Experience in the medical field, as well as expertise in the design and development of integrated circuits (ICs), will be highly valued.

Main Duties:

Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
Develop technical drawings and schematics for products and structures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modify and improve designs.
Analyse designs to ensure they meet all technical and safety specifications.
Apply in-depth knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering, CAD design, printing, robotics, coding, and API.
Test and evaluate designs to ensure functionality and adherence to project specifications.
Maintain and update project documentation and technical records.
Stay updated with industry advancements and integrate new trends into your designs.
Support and oversee regulatory testing for CE, UKCA, FCC, IC Marking, etc.
Design and develop integrated circuits (ICs) for product integration.
Apply experience in electrical and electronic engineering to create robust, functional designs.
Experience in the medical field will be considered a significant plus, particularly in relation to regulated products and designs for healthcare applications.

Coalville: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

United Kingdom (preferred)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of in-depth experience in electrical and electronic engineering and CAD design.
Proven experience in robotics programming and the application of coding and API.
Experience in the design and development of integrated circuits (ICs) is a strong advantage.
Experience in the medical field is considered a plus, particularly in regulated environments or medical device design.
In-depth knowledge of material science and its application to product design and development.
Experience with regulatory compliance and testing (CE, UKCA, FCC, IC Marking).
Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and refine designs.
Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and within a team.
Ability to stay current with industry advancements and trends in design and engineering.
